Gee, and car companies like Mercedes Benz, BMW, and Volvo don't sell
cars aimed at the cheap subcompact car buyer. What ever are they
thinking?
The difference being that Mercedes Benz, BMW and Volvo are not selling
GM quality, whereas a Mac is a very plain PC.
LOL... Bull***. Apple does use the same type of components everyone
else uses, but the difference is Apple includes more of those components
than a lot of cheaper PCs have in them, and Apple picks high-end
components (like the Xeon) where other PC manufacturers might pick
lower-cost components. When you configure a PC to have the same
components Apple's Macs have in them, the prices are similar:

So it seems your entire beef with Macs is that they include *too many*
components, and not the *cheaper* variety you might like in your cheap-o
PC.
Using that logic, I'm sure you'd fault BMW or Mercedes for not putting a
Honda lawnmower engine in their automobiles to bring the price down.
After all, that BMW engine is overpriced according to your values,
right? If they'd just use that lawnmower engine, you could afford one
too!
Nobody is asking to buy a Mac. Nobody is calling you stupid for your
decision to run Windows. Stick with your cheap-o Windows PC if that's
what makes you happy, and leave others to buy what they want.
