Guys, I am neither a computer nor a phone expert, but my understanding
has always been that "phone jacks" (RJ-11) and "ethernet jacks" (RJ-45)
are both in fact simply standardized "modular plug" designs, both of
which are used in different situations both for phone purposes and for
other data and communications purposes . . . ???
