anti-static solution for use with the new aluminum keyboard...
Response--
The one I have (and have had for ten years or more) is from Quill. It is
labelled "Static Touchmat."
Amazon sells a similar one for $15.14. Copy this link into your browser
or Google Keyboard Anti-Static Mat.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00009ADGQ
It says there are only three left in stock.
I saw that and was initially scared off by the 11 x 3 x 3 dimensions
listed. So I looked it up on another web site and saw that the dimensions
are really 11 x 22 x .25 which is a bit more reasonable. Hopefully, it'll
come next week. :) Thanks so much!
I guess I didn't pay any attention to size but assumed it was similar to
mine which is 10x18x1/8 inches--barely wide enough for a keyboard with a
numbers section. The one on Amazon appears to have (as does mine) a
grounding wire that snaps onto the mat for easy on/off. I usually touch it
without thinking about it when I start typing. I have never had a static
problem, but the person who gave me the mat did, so he ordered two and gave
one to me. Let us know how it works out for you!
