Mac OS X already has built-in safe guards for that - not that you should
be careless and forget your administrator password! If you do, though,
as long as you have physical access to the machine, there are ways to
reset the password.

I reckon that having two admin accounts is useful on a laptop, but not
needed on a desktop.

Because one's original install disks are likely to be available for the
desktop, but not necessarily for the laptop. And resetting the password,
etc, can be done easily from the install disks.

I reckon not.
