The Flying Buttress disk image, of course. What other?
You downloaded the disk image to install Flying Buttress.

So I need to re-download the program and then install it again, then
uninstall it?
This seems really odd.

No, you don't need to reinstall it. You do need to redownload it because
you apparently threw away the uninstaller. Downloading and installing
are separate steps. I suggest *NOT installing it again. Nobody here ever
suggested such a thing.

Dont Mac's have some kind of software uninstall tool ?

It depends on the particular application. Macs (note the correct form of
the plural) do have a conventional uninstall, which is to drag the
application to the trash. However, there is no secret police force
watching over every application vendor to force them to follow that
convention. To be fair to the application vendors, some applications
inherently have a bit more to do for a complete uninstall, making it
harder for the simple drag-to-trash method to work. It does work with
most apps.

What about all the other programs I have on here, I have to re-
download them too to uninstall them ?

That depends on the app. See above. It helps to read the documentation
that comes with the apps. In any case, I'd also suggest not throwing
away installation files after using them. There are many, many reasons
why you might someday want them again, and it isn't always easy to reget
them, particularly exactly the same version as you got the first time.
There are cases where that can matter.

Do you throw out the CD after installing software that you buy in a box?
Actually, I've known people who do thngs like that... or perhaps more
commonly, are so disorganized that they might as well have thrown it out
because they will never find it. Those people tend to need a lot of help
with their computers (no matter what brand).
