Hi Chris, and welcome to the Mac.
I had two concerns, One was price & the other was lack of experience with
apple for 20 years. These products aren't inexpensive at all. Knowing
that, I felt like if I wanted it, I would have to try it out for myself.
Ill teach myself, listen to others, & read up on things. There's defiantly
a learning curve. The more I'm learning about my new Mac, I find myself
liking it. It's a different learning I'm used too, it's fun! I also enjoy
the fact my laptop just work's, & It's so easy to use. I can start to see
the differences between the two systems. As far as problems with my
laptop, haven't had any. When I received my laptop from Fed-Ex, I had
unpacked it, turned it on, & have had fun with it since. I've done one
update, so far. I'm hoping, I wont have to deal with half the crap I did
with Microsoft! So far, I don't think I'll be turning back...
Sounds like you have had a good initial experience. I've also been very
happy with my MacBook Pro (2.2 GHz model bought a few months ago, to
replace a dead PowerBook G4).
I haven't been as happy with it since I installed 10.5, but the new
operating system is improving and my most annoying remaining problem
(keyboard shutdown issue) may have just been fixed by an Apple software
update.
