I'm not sure this has ever been proven one way or the other, but
either way it doesn't matter, since the analogy to admin-vs-not
doesn't stand up.

On that front we might all consider one indisputable fact: the
overwhelming majority of osx users have never run as anything other
than an admin. They buy their Macs, they create the initial (admin)
account, and they never think about accounts again. They simply use
their Macs as the tools they are to those who live in the world
outside of usenet.

Millions of ordinary, non-tech-savvy users running as admin all this
time -- surely if there were any real-world danger in this, some
little shred of statistically significant evidence of that would have
shown have up by now. It hasn't. That pretty much sums it up for me:
this supposed security risk is a phantom danger.
