You haven't been paying attention for more than a year...

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12537279/

and

http://www.sans.org/why_sans.php

Click "Top 20 List" on right side and look for

M1. Mac OS X

First off, the articles linked in the MICROSOFT network URL is over a
year old. Second, there was nothing recent on viruses to be found on
sans.org.

I tried the top 20 list, and looked at M1. M1 is not a virus for mac,
just to let others know. It lists the old arguments of why Mac was
foolish for going with the structure they went with. But the lack of
confirmed viruses and similar for Mac fails to bolster their arguments.
And as such, they have not posted anything significant about Macs or OS
X in over a year. They only announce when Apple issues some sort of
routine update.

Further searching for virus info takes me to http://www.macvirus.org/
where I find the most recent update on the site was a year ago, when a
PC virus got shipped in some ipods.

Jack ass - er - Jack Ak, you didn't pay attention to what you posted, as
there hasn't been anything to pay attention to since May 06, which, by
the by, is the date on your Microsloth article.

Is this to say we are safe? Never. But if you just keep your eyes on
the Mac news forums, you will remain safe. Perhaps some day, there will
be a new need for Disinfectant X, but for now, classic Disinfectant for
Mac OS - OS 9 is all any Mac user needs.
