Some Word files recently sent will not open without the dialogue that asks you to choose a whether the file is text, rich text, MS-DOS, html, etc., and then it translates into gibberish. The same files open just fine on my G-5. These files were created on a collegue's Mac in Word!
I deleted the microsoft plists, and ran update from MS, but no joy. Also, Permissions redone and restart. I need some ideas! Please.
How did you transfer the files to the other computer?
