If I check the Activity window on a You Tube page and double-click on
the item with "get_video" as part of its name, it will download a file

a Flash icon and I can play it with the QuickTime Player.
But if my friend does it on her Mac, QuickTime says that it is not a
QuickTime application and she can't play it. Further, if I take one of
those files on my Machine and export it as a QuickTime movie, it will
play just fine on my computer, but hers will play only the audio without
any video.
She doesn't have the flash codec.
Or she hasn't told Quicktime to play flash.
(System Preferences > Quicktime > Advanced > Enable Flash)

We both have Intel iMacs, both running OS X 10.10, and both have
QuickTime Pro.
She is apparently missing a plug-in, but I can't figure out which one;
I've downloaded and installed the latest Flash player onto her system.
Help, please?
