Blaming ISP's for spam is silly. ISP's didn't cause the overtaking of
computers to be used as zombies.
Name an ISP that tells their customers a zombie will be disconnected
from the Internet without warning. As gatekeepers, ISPs bear the
responsibility of controlling their traffic, and far too many are
concerned about malicious *incoming* traffic and don't care at all about
malicious *outgoing* traffic. MS might have created a piss poor OS, but
its the ISPs that allow them to pee in the pool.
Actually, Clearwire monitors traffic patterns and if a node's outbound
traffic matches a "zombie" pattern that node is restricted to a page
that informs the user that they are spewing and need to clean up before
they are released...
So, at least one is at least trying to do *something*
.
