Need some specific advice from any die-hard Mac person, who is also
forced to use Windows at work.
In other words, someone who _KNOWS_ the practical risks of using Vista
on a Mac with BootCamp.
If you boot Vista on a Mac (using Parallels, BootCamp, whatever) you are
booting a Windows Vista computer and are exactly as vulnerable as any other
Windows Vista computer. You should take appropriate precautions, including
but not limited to proper anti-virus, anti-spyware, and anti-rootkit systems.
I do not want any lectures about this NG being the wrong place to ask
such questions; if BootCamp is good enough for Apple to include with the
new Leopard OS, it is fair game for me to ask questions about it in this
"system" newsgroup as far as I am concerned.
<sigh>
I have already tried asking questions in Windows NGs relevant to my
particular situation here, and got nowhere.
Your attitude may have something to do with that.
Any compassion out here?
...or not, I don't care a rats ass, I am about to give up on my fellow
Mac users. Expecting the worst, but thought I would give it one last
try.
Any takers? If so, I will post what I am trying to do here.
...excuse the pessimism...

Personally, I hope that you ignore me and just cruise. I'd laugh really hard
if your machine got nailed by a Windows virus.
