Hi. I somehow doubt that you could use an eSata drive in an older
machine, same for memory etc. Repairing it or selling it non-operating
enclosure you could use it that way. I didn't mention USB because I
don't know if the G4 you have can do usb 2.0. Firewire is better foor
external HD units anyway.
