I switched to PF a long time ago, and I only use the Finder when Apple

This was a show stopper for me.
I wanted to switch to PathFinder but Apple insisted way too often.
Whenever I wanted to use a feature of PF, there I was, stuck in the
Finder.
It was not useful to me because it wasn't there when I needed it.
The demo expired, and I didn't buy it.
I need PathFinder to be the default.
There are hacks to make it so, but I have no idea how well they work.
Has anyone tried any of these?
I think it is PathFinders job to make itself the default.
It was so close to being the Finder that I wanted.
For example, I really want a simple filter facility.
Can you imagine an iTunes without any filter feature?
That's the Finder! Ugh :-(
