Well, you don't need to have all three panels plus the two panels in the
main panel open at the same time.
I switched to PF a long time ago, and I only use the Finder when Apple
insists on it. For instance, hitting Apple-R in iTunes to show a song
file in its folder always opens the Finder. No big deal.
Otherwise I like the extras that PF gives me. I hope that they bring
back custom shelves that were in PF3; it's the reason that I haven't
upgraded on my home machine. On my work machine I don't need that so
I've upgraded.
In both versions the copy stack is a great idea. There are other things
I can't live without. I'll take the small speed hit.
