I have no idea what you are talking about. Are you suggesting that somehow your computer can continue burning a CD/DVD while it is shutting down? : ) I assure you, that's not the case.

I meant that to me it is more important that it burns properly than it
closes automatically when the computer is shut down or rebooted.

Oh! Sorry, Hans, I must have misread that totally! Yes, I feel the same way, bbut i want it all - so an exteral burner seemed better to me. I haven't had mine overheat. Maybe they've since fixed that problem?
