Hi All,

I just installed Virtual PC 7, XP Professional on my G4 running
10.3.9
To my surprise it runs fairly fast.

Anyway, my question. Does anyone know if I should install windows
virus protection?
I'm not really planning to surf the net or use it for my email.

Does "I'm not really planning" mean "never going to"?

Please think about it carefully. Are you never going to let it see the
net?

Are you sure you aren't? Windows Update for example? Files from work or
customers?

But would it be prudent?

Yes it would.

My reply to many.

The reason for the double post of the same questions is because there
was at least an hour laps in time between the actual post and it
appearing on the list. So I thought it didn't take the first time. And
it ended up in the same thread, don't understand that either. I posted
it twice, sorry.

Granted, Windows is highly subject to viruses. That said, I guess I
should have phrased my question more precisely. I was actually
looking for comments from people who might actually have experience
with Virtual PC 7, not just errant posts from readers questioning my
state of mind for posting such a obviously stupid question.

Funny, my teachers always taught me that the only stupid question is
the one not asked.

I have Virtual PC on my Powerbook and do not use any anti-virus, etc. I
never use it for surfing the Web or e-mail. In fact I basically use it
for two programs, one of which, Quicken actually downloads info from my
credit cards. I've never had problems, other than dog slow performance.
