I've connected my new iMac to my Linksys WRT54G which is using WEP 128
bit 26 hex digits encryption. When trying to set up the wireless
network, the mac asks for a password (not a key, mind you). What
password is this?

Probably your admin account password.

When I enter the 26 hex string, it fails to connect.
Looking at the internet connect summary, it shows that I'm connected
to my network but I still can't get to the internet nor do I see any
of the other computers on my LAN.

I've also got it connected to my router by wire. Trying to set that
up, I would expect to just set things to be dynamically determined (IP
address, DNS address) but, instead, it only gives me the following
choices: Manually, Using DHCP with manual address, Using DCHP, and
Using BootP. Under none of these am I able to connect.

Any hints? I thought the Mac was supposed to be so easy to set up.

BTW, I'm able to post here on my WinXP laptop connected wirelessly to
the same LAN.

HELP!

Thanks,
David
