It is possible the files are corrupted. I've had this same problem with
some mp3 files just using iTunes on my computer. When I've checked these
problem files with a sound editor I discovered strange wave forms where
the tune ends and jumps to the next track.
Try again transferring these tunes from your CDs to see if this solves
the problem.
