I have an IMAC G5, and recently (2 weeks) had the logic board
replaced. Everything's been working great since, and I got an update
to download a POWERPC update. After I did and restarted I keep
getting the below screen. Anyone know what this is or how to fix it?
It comes up right after the white Welcome to OSX screen.

It sounds like an application you have set to launch during login (Login Items) is likely misbehaving and stopping the Finder from loading fully.

I would hold down the Shift key on your keyboard while starting up to disable Login Items and see if you can get in. If you get in:

You may be able to tell from the console and system logs which Login Item is the culprit. It's probably something you installed recently.

Go into System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items.

Make a list (in a text file, spread***, whatever) of each login item's name and path. That way you can remove items from the list and put them back later if you want.

TIP: You can view the path to each item by placing the cursor over the item and waiting a second or two until you see a tool tip window appear showing the path to that item.

Remove any Login Item that looks suspect.
