Re: How to delete all log files?

Log files created as a result of abnormal behavior (e.g. crash logs)

log files live in "/var/log".

If you want those logs to roll with the others, I recommend the creation
of files "/etc/daily.local" and "/etc/weekly.local" which contain copies
of the appropriate sections scripts from the files in "/etc/perodic/",
suitably modified.

A good way to frighten me senseless is to suggest writing any sort of
script. I am terrified by scripts of any kind, they are an invention
of the devil.

Gawd-awful unreasonable mental block of some kind.

For that reason, I like Wes's approach much better, get in there and
tear the living be-jesus out of a file, directly.

Better yet, if/when I get in a mean mood, I will merely delete every
single log file in sight.

OS X will probably re-create new empty log files at the next restart.
