Hello,
I have a problem trying to install Adobe Acrobat on my Mac.
Imac, 10.3.9, 700 Mhz Powerpc g4.
unfortunately, I've been completely isolated from the internet (on the
mac) for about 2 years. Everything I can update has been manually (I
had to buy the OS and the rest I downloaded using removable HDs). An
excruciating process, you can imagine!
So...I wanted to upgrade my Acrobat because I get these weird squares
instead of notes on the *** music I'm looking at.
I downloaded something called Acrobatbasepackage_all.dmg from the
Adobe site, unzipped it using Stuffit 8.0.2.
It goes to a window called Installer VISE.
Then it hangs.. it says Items remaining to install : 359, and
searching Macintosh HD.
And then it just hangs and doesn't do anything.
A couple more questions:
1. How long have you waited when it gets to this point? It may take quite some time, depending on the speed of your computer - so give it at least a good 30 minutes, just to be safe.
2. What version of Acrobat are you trying to upgrade from?
3. To what version are you trying to upgrade ("Acrobatbasepackage_all.dmg" doesn't tell us what version it is)?
4. Did you actually purchase this "Acrobatbasepackage_all.dmg" file that you downloaded from Adobe?
