I've been using CodeTec for some time now but I recently saw this
message in my console.log:
Sep 12 20:39:55 ... /Applications/CodeTek VirtualDesktop
Pro.app/Contents/MacOS/CodeTek VirtualDesktop Pro: The function
CGSDictionaryObjectForKey is obsolete and will be removed in a Tiger
update. Unfortunately, this app, or a library it uses, is using this
obsolete function, and is thereby contributing to an overall
degradation of system performance.
So I removed it from system preferences / login items. But now I miss
it. I was using it mainly because I was able to type in a window
without bringing it to the front but I've gotten used to its other
features too.
Have you noticed any difference in performance since you disabled it?
Messages of this type are not all that unusual, however the mention of
degrading system performance is not common and seems rather unlikely.
