Problems with access to iDisk or .Mac?

I'm having no end of troubles getting access to my iDisk on .Mac from
one computer in my collection of three. I can't mount my iDisk. I can't
sync my iDisk. I can't really effectively change it's settings (whether
to keep it sync'd or not) without entering Finder-BeachBall hell.
The only messages I get out of my console are "network_mount WebDAV
protocol not supported" errors.
I thought that de-registering my computer with .Mac syncing entirely
might help, and now I can't get my computer to even connect to .Mac
properly to start up syncing services again! My System Preferences pane
keeps beachballing and Force Quite shows it as "not responding".
What the heck is going on here? Are others noticing similar problems at
the moment?
Can anyone suggest methods I might try to solve this problem, or
sources on the 'web I might look at to help me trouble shoot this
situation? When it works, I find .Mac and iDisk actually useful.
However, when it's not working it's /really/ not working.
This is doubly getting under my skin at the moment, because I just
re-upped for another year of (expensive) service! Grrrrr....
