I am looking for a good way of starting my own personal website.
iWeb from Apple? ...or, a more expensive approach?
My contemplated use, one-way blogging, very little incoming feedback
from users.
Would be interested in hearing if people are happy/unhappy with their
present personal website.
It is my opinion that reading selected website blogs from knowledgeable
Mac users is one of the best ways of learning how to effectively use a
Mac.
Everyone (generally) has worthwhile things to contribute to the overall
pool of interesting Mac skills, via their own personal website.
Wonder if there is a "yellow book" of personal blog websites, with a
brief description and rating of each website. If not, there should be
such a book. Certainly would be a monster sized yellow book.
Also would be very useful for improving one's skills, IMO.
I use a combination of iWeb, to get the site actually constructed
quickly, and then if needed, Nvu or TextWrangler to do any fine editing.
Check my site for an example of what iWeb does,
and also here:

My own Blog page is very basic, and I only update it occasionally, but
it's a doddle to do in iWeb.
The only downside is that you have to reconstruct the entire site every
time you update it if you don't have a .Mac account.
