Hellllllpppppppp!
I just switched from DSL to Comcast internet service. All worked fine
with my old airport distributing the internet to 3 computers at home.
Now, I can only connect to the internet if I connect via the fat
phone-type cble directly from the cable modem to my mac. The little
radio antenna ting on the top right of my screen finds the airport base
station but says "Looking for PPoE Host".
What does this mean?
How do I get back to the old setup where the cable from the modem went
to the airpost base station and then all thecomputers could see it?
Help, I'm a poor pathetic guy without enough internet for the family...
Get rid of the settings with PPoE in them. Haul out your router's guide;
you'll need to set the router to be the MAC address; from there you can
connect your ethernet and airport connection without further ado.
