Re: installing Tiger - can't boot from DVD

You seem to be going around in circles. Has it been established that your

kind of hack like Expostfacto.

Thanks everyone who replied. To summarize: Our blue-and-white G3
meets all the minimum requirements for 10.4.6 listed on Apple's
website. It has built-in Firewire and USB, but it does not have a
built-in internal DVD drive. It has an external drive that supports
connection by both USB and Firewire, but either way the G3 can't boot
from it. The G3 does not support Firewire Target Disk Mode as a target
(only as a host, which does me no good).

I sent the Tiger DVD back to Apple with the order form for their "Media
Exchange Program", so that I can install from CD's using the internal
drive.
