iMac Core Duo - Parallels - WinXP : numeric pad doesn't work in XP

Brand new iMac Core Duo with Parallels installed and Win XP Home.
Language is French and the keyboard layout is Swiss-French.

WinXP runs well and fast, except that the keyboard's numeric pad does not
respond. Any ideas ?
