RealPlayer 10 for Mac OS X does handle metafiles (typically ram or smil files; rpm is for content embedded on web pages.) You may be running into a miscoded file or a bug in the Helix playback code, but in general RealPlayer 10 for Mac OS X plays ram files just fine. Nearly all RealMedia content on the web is linked to with ram metafiles.
thank you for your response, I still haven't solved this problem... problem does not arise for content on the web, only on local mac machine (same file, it's not corrupt) AND: only if use RELATIVE path from meta to rm (meta and rm are in same dir), if use absolute path from meta to rm in mac machine it works fine (but this is for a CD so can't use absolute path because absolute path may change from machine to machine..)
so: problem ONLY on local machine (not the web) AND only if use relative path to rm in meta file, which I have to use here..)
thank you..
