Any insight or comments as to some trouble shooting techniques would be
much appreciated. For example, can I remove the SCSI HD and controller
from the system, install an older 40GB IDE HD use the restore disk to
install 10.3.9 on it and try booting from it?
I can't answer that question. But tell me, does your computer do better
cold booting than soft booting?
Have you considered SCSI voodoo? Has the terminator gone bad perchance
and is it still set properly? Have you also disconnected and then
reconnected everything on the SCSI chain?
