What do you mean by crash? Most often I've had a program quit and cause a
window to come up asking if I wanted to report it to Apple.

On occasion while trying out older programs, I've found several that will
hang up the computer. In those cases, the ONLY way to recover was to hold
down the power button for five seconds. This is certainly discouraging.

I haven't had the total hangup problem occur since installing the 10.4.5
upgrade, but haven't gone back to trying the old programs again either.
