I purchased a small 75 watt unit from Canadian Tire for around $35.00 CAD.
It has a set of binding posts, which can be connected to a cigarette lighter
or up at the cottage, if I had one, it can be connected to a stand alone
12VDC source, such as a marine battery in a boat. The unit has a digital
display, it tells you the input voltage, the output voltage and the current
draw and also has a built-in cooling fan. I put a scope on the output and
it was a nice clean sine wave under load.

Yes I have heard of Google. Was hoping someone who has used one of the
ittems I might find through a Google search would reply letting me what
their thoughts good or bad were. Also just so know some of these site
have power inverters listed an option for prodiving power while in the
car, so the answer was not wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
