Maybe people will understand why I got such a phobia of the "excellent compatability" of Windows on a different machine and how evil Microsoft has used it by making everything (I even remember win32s) compatible with OS/2 Windows session.

Why is MS compatibility so surprising? After all, it was Microsoft that developed OS/2 in the first place; later IBM took over development, but even then, there was significant interaction between the two companies.

You should see how amazingly compatible and "better windows than windows" it was.

It is nothing to describe.

The windows programs in OS/2 was running better than "real" windows! Or if case is DOS compatability, imagine MS DOS having amazing multi tasking with amazing reliability. I am speaking about playing Quake fullscreen while downloads are in background on Pentium 75 64mb (or 32?) machine.

There were lots of misdoings in IBM part (development tools etc) but in such a compatability, nobody cared to code specifically for OS/2 system itself.

The real deal with OS/2, Windows and its relation to monopoly case is in "The Microsoft File"

You will see the "real deal", not stupid "ms is evil" stuff. Yes they are evil and more than you can imagine. ;)
