New DVR, installation question

Hey again,
Thanks to all, especially Spencer, for answering my "copying scenes from
DVD" question. Here's a new one. I recently bought an NEC DL DVR internal
drive ($45.00), recommended by MacWorld. I've tried installing it, but the
"screws" are flat heads or Phillips heads, so how do I get these "screws"
loosened in order to remove the carrier and install the secondary drive.
Also, I still have the Pioneer drive I had installed by MacMall at the time
I bought the computer (replacing the DVD-ROM) that came pre-installed from
Apple. Assuming I can get these "funny" screws loosened to install the new
drive, should I just replace the old drive (whose max copying speed is 4X
for CD's and 2X for DVDs), or keep in and install the NEC in the secondary
slot.
In case you need specs: I'm using a mirrored door, 1.25ghz single processor
G4 with 2GB SDRAM, 1 300GB HD (just installed), 1 160GB and 1 80GB internal
hard drives installed.
Thanks for any help,
Monique
.
