Is your router 192.168.0.1? Some routers come configured this way, but
most routers come configured as 192.168.1.1. If your router is at .1.1,
you need to put in an IP address that's 192.168.1.xxx.

That is not necessary. You can leave it on.

In addition to typing in the IP address, you also need to type in the
subet mask (255.255.255.0) and the router address (192.168.1.1 or
192.168.0.1). You may need to type in the DNS addresses as well.
