Don't know, but in a time where every Mac comes with a Finder that has a
"Create Archive of..." in the context menu using zip and is able to
unzip out of the box and these archives are readable on every other OS
on the planet without installing additional software I'd say: Yes.
And additionally I've made the obversation that software packages that
come as Stuffit archives have a significant probability of being
somewhat broken in some other regards also. Like in blindly assuming to
be installed with admin rights or in not telling in no way what and
where they install something or other dumb things. Software that comes
as .zip or .tgz or tar.gz or .tar.bz is more often sane and reasonable.
Not always, naturally, but often enough to be obvious. This may have to
to do something with the developers being sane and reasonable and
heeding recent trends to openness to standards and interoperability.
