The driver I see is
PPD print driver for Mac OS X.
PPD cop_soft_AR-PK4_Mac_OSX_PPD.sit
Version 1.4
Compatible with Imager models AR-C260, AR-C260M,
AR-BC260, AR-BC320.
Historically, PPD files were used to tweak Postscript drivers to add
support for specific printer features, such as input trays, stapler
options, memory, on board disk, etc...
I would suggest installing the driver, as it will not hurt anything, but
I suspect that it might not do anything, as your printer, as purchased,
does not support Postscript.
Looking at <http://GIMP-Print.sf.net>, it only mentions the
Sharp AR-161 pcl-6 HP LaserJet 6 series
If all the Sharp printers use PCL, then the GIMP-Print drivers should
allow you to print to them from your Mac(s).
Please do not TOP post.
