Only if Phil Schiller and Brian Croll were lying or mistaken. Apple can
do all they like to prevent Mac OS X from running on common Intel
hardware, but it'd be a royal business mistake to not support Windows on
the new Apple hardware. Microsoft would/should have to be the ones to
take steps to prevent it, but then why would they since it's just
another clone license as far as they're concerned? And since VirtualPC
is Microsoft's baby now, at worst they'll make you spend another hundred
bucks for that, with the bonus of the "emulation" being at full speed
instead of the glacial pace that you'd see on a PPC. My suggestion
stands: wait to buy if you can in order to see how the Intel transition
affects you, or keep your Mac explorations simple (e.g., mini) unless
you're just completely fed up with Windows.
