What part of 'Web design' am I misunderstanding here ? You appear to be
trying to write a Java or JavaScript application. People who are viewing
your web site will be using a web browser and may have both things turned
off. Why not use HTML facilities to navigate instead of depending on
features that people using PDAs, mobile phones, old computers, and
browsers with security settings set to 'high' won't be able to use ?
