Some do, and a lot don't. You just reinstall the minimum you have
to. It saves a lot of time if you don't have to install 20 programs.

I find its the settings that I have changed that I have to go through again
is the time consuming part. If I left everything in a default setting it
would be a breeze. But who does that?
