I have followed all of the setup messages on getting my XP machine to
print to my Dell 3100cn color laser printer attached to an Airport via
USB.
Printing from my Mac is of course just fine and easy.
I use to have a non-Apple router (but happily switched).
When I print anything from a PC (running XP) I get a non-stop printing
of binary data. The first page has a message that 'should' be useful
though (I think it is generated by the printer and not from the print
job).
"This job contains binary data, but your printer requires a special
driver setting to receive binary data on this channel. Return to the
driver's property sheets, turn off the use of binary data, and then
print again."
Wonderful information - I cannot find ANYTHING remotely similar to
this setting I need to "turn off".
Grrrr.
Anyone have thoughts?
Thank you for your help.
Are you using the (PS) PostScript driver? There's an option on the
"Device Settings" tab for the Windows PS driver that controls the "Output
Protocol" and offers a choice of ASCII, Binary, or TBCP.

Mike
