We have just purchased a Mini Mac which we need to use for working in three different languages, English, German and Spanish. We have the German keyboard, and we have Windows XP with Bootcamp, so as to use Outlook. We use the German keyboard rather than English because it gives a better coverage of special symbols.Mine has a tilde. And I only need to type n first with the option key and then without it for ñ ¿ is just option/shift/? There are lots of combinations with the option key. I get my umlauts with keystroke combinations that way rather than switching to a German keyboard, too, unless I'm typing something fairly extensive in German.
Up until now with a standard PC and Windows, we have had no problems typing the special characters in Spanish using either key combinations or Alt+numpad codes.
Now with the Mac keyboard we are stumped. There is no numeric keypad, and there is no tilde. That makes it impossible to type the Spanish "ñ" (tilde-n) symbol in particular.
And I'm using a wireless keyboard, too.In the regional configuration options I tried setting Spanish(Apple) keyboard, but it has no effect.
What is the solution?

Maybe the problem is caused by using Windows XP with a keyboard designed
for Apple OS.
