True, but it is MUCH slower to read and write to them when formatted
for Windows. I did this for a couple years before trying out a flash
drive formatted for Mac, and couldn't believe the difference.
Now my primary flash drive is formatted for Mac, and I keep a smaller
one formatted for Windows around for the rare occasion that I need to
move back and forth between different machines. If it's rare that
she'll need to do this, I'd just buy a really cheap 256MB drive for
Windows compatibility, and get a 1 or 2 GB drive for Mac.
