0SX 10.0.2 Crap?

I have just installed OSX 10.0.2 on my iMac G3 333Mhz Lifesaver. I was
so trilled that I finally got up to speed and to be on OSX. All of the
apps that I dreamed would be able to run on my iMac would finally be
there. In my fit of excitment I rushed to Mozilla.com. I couldn't wait
to get my favorite browser loaded. So I proudly clicked on the "X" and
proceeded to download. I was stoked. Then a screen came up asking mw
what app to use to open the dmg file. I was just going to put it on the
desktop. Desktop was greyed out as an option. Unless I chose to "save
file as..." so I did.I was a little rusty I figured, no problem. Then
to my extreme dismay the file sat there with a big ugly "E" for
Internet Explorer. I figured at this point things were wrong. But just
to confirm my fear I double clicked that bad boy! As I suspected a
bunch of encrypted jargon came up tucked neatly inside IE window.
Now here is my question: Some other groups have said that 10.0.2 can
not handle firefox, is that the case? If this is the case, can someone
please prove it to me. Can someone tell me just one program ( I do not
even care what it does ) that will install on 10.0.2 and how to get it?
I am lusting for some success with this OS X. Because I have had
nothing but stinking failure.
