You seem to be on the cutting edge of something. I think you want to
check with the comp.sys.mac.hardware.misc folks. Or another computer
hardware group or google.

With the cover on and no jumpers, my Mini is as quiet as a panther
walking. I hope someone here is knowledgeable enough to help you.
