I've never seen a virus on OS X. That doesn't necessarily mean she doesn't have to worry about a Microsoft Office Macro Virus.


        Somewhat related question - does Mac support pf (OpenBSD) style firewalls
or iptables (Linux) style, or does it have its own proprietary solution ?


OS X has a builtin Firewall.  I think it's more BSD like.
