NAS for MAC?

I'm looking for either 1 thing or two things.

I need at least 2TB worth of storage for my MACs and I'll want tape backup
as well. So I'll either need:

1. NAS Unit
2. Tape backup for that unit plus machine to run drive

or

1. Some sort of storage cluster that is self contained. Storage and backup.

I know some PC solutions but I'm a little lost as to what would work best
for Mac. I looked at the Xserve RAID units but then I'm not sure what tape
drive would work well with those.

Can anyone point me in the right direction. I sure would appreciate it!!!!!
