crash with new RAM
Hello,
I just got my g5 back from the repair shop with 2gb new RAM installed.
They told me that they checked the DIMMs, and my computer and found
nothing wrong. When I turn the machine on, I get one crash after
another.
I know that if I take out the new RAM, my computer will run as it
should, but before I do, I thought I would try to find the reason, why
my computer won't accept more memory capacity.
When I start with cmd-alt-o-f, I get the grey screen with a running list
of *Invalid memory access* messages.
I can do a safe start, after which I have run rember a few times. My
memory fails most of those tests.
The crash screen ends with *Panic. We are hanging . . .*
I would appreciate any words of wisdom.
Greetings,
Gregory Wiest
