no modem on iMac G5

I just bought one of the latest imac G5 machines. It came with a phone cable, but it seems to have no modem. The hardware manual doesn't mention one.

Am I wrong? Is there a cheap and easy add-on? I use ethernet on my cable modem for the internet, but I'd like to be able to send faxes over the phone line.

Thanks.
