Yes, I do get that error if I do that. Dragging it to another location,
between other newsgroups doesn't cause the error, though.

Okay, so it's reproducible that one can get that error, and neither of
us are using a Macally BT mouse. Now, we're getting it by dragging,
he's getting it by attempting to double click.
